Dolomite gravel
Origin: Germany
Compared to the chemically related limestone, dolomite rock is slightly harder and significantly more brittle, despite having a similar structure and texture. Dolomite is used for soil stabilization and as agricultural lime. It is also well-suited for civil and road construction. Due to its coloration, it is a popular choice in landscaping—for example, as gabion stone or for bound gravel pathways.
